Placing a seat

You must agree to the following statements for us to consider your application:- • The seat shall be maintained in a safe condition and good decorative repair by the Town/Parish/District Council. Where the seat it to be placed on a non-paved surface, a solid base of appropriate construction should be provided and the seat firmly affixed • Contractors employed to erect the seat have the following:- – Public Liability Insurance to the value of £5million – Chapter 8 Qualifications • If the County Council require the seat shall be moved, such removal shall be undertaken by the Town/Parish/District Council at no charge to the County Council within one month of receiving a notice to remove • The Town/Parish/District Council shall indemnify the County Council against all actions, costs, claims, demands, liability and expenses whatsoever which may arise at whatever time in connection with or incidental to the erection, maintenance and removal of the seat.
